We recommend this cottage for 4 adults or adults + kids.
If you see the Luzern available, go ahead and snatch it! This very coveted unit is located directly on the stream. On the second floor of our water side Duplex, this spacious chalet was once part of the Hotel La Sapinière. From its common areas, especially the veranda, you have a beautiful elevated view of our natural surroundings. In the living room, a beautiful authentic stone fireplace with direct flame is the focal point of the grand room. On the front balcony, you have your BBQ. Your outdoor eating area is in the screened porch, but you can also use the picnic tables at our private park, outside your door. It is a beautiful country-living luxurious chalet with large rooms and bathrooms en suite. Note that the cottage has a dishwasher. Its total area is about 1300 sf. When rented with Zermatt, the total area is 2400 p.c.
SOUNDPROOF
The floor is well soundproofed between Luzern and Zermatt (the floor is insulated with blown cellulose, carpet strategically located). We still ask to be mindful of the level of noise, for your neighbours and for the residents around the lake.
PLEASE NOTE THAT LAC DE LA SAPINIÈRE HAS RETURNED TO ITS NATURAL STREAM/LITTLE RIVER FORM FOR AN INDETERMINATE DURATION OR UNTIL THE DAM IS REPAIRED.

SLEEPING OPTIONS
The Luzern has 2 large closed bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. In one of the bedrooms you will find a Queen bed, sofa, dresser and closet; in the other bedroom, you have 2 Queen beds, closet, loveseat and 2 dressers. A full bath is also accessible from the kitchen.
LA CUISINE
The Luzern has a huge kitchen with a central island and walls of storage cabinets. In addition to the large table in the dining room, the veranda and the central island also provide seating for meals. You will not miss anything to prepare meals: cookware, standard coffee maker, kettle, electric mixer, small electric chopper, blender, waffle maker and of course, a set of Swiss fondue.
SURROUNDING YOUR COTTAGE
+ There is a garden at the entrance of the chalet: do not hesitate to harvest what is in season!
+ Your BBQ is on the balcony and picnic table near the water
+ Your 2 private parking spaces (shared with Zermatt parking)
+ On the other side of the street, behind the small red cottage, you will find the pool and hot tub
+ There are two campfire areas: one near the hot tub in an outdoor fire pit and the other on the common ground.
+ In front of your unit, you have the stream.
+ The park and its play area for children and the trampoline are just a few steps away.
THE LOCATION
The Luzern is located on the stream side. This is the second floor of our Duplex. Our park with trampoline and play area is located on the other side of the path that runs along your parking space.
PARKING & CHARGING
The Luzern offers you two private parking spaces at the exit of your chalet. If you have an electric car, you can plug it into our terminal located in the main parking lot, near the office, accessible to all our customers.
THE BREAD BOX
You will notice a wooden house at the top of the steps near your door. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, a fresh bread from the local La Mie Richard bakery will be delivered: it’s your bread box!
